It was 2 AM and I was sitting in the rocking chair in Summer's nursery, holding her against my chest, scrolling my phone with one thumb while she slept on me. I'd fallen down a rabbit hole on infant attachment theory, the kind of late-night research that only happens when you're postpartum and trying to figure out what kind of parent you want to be.

I was reading about co-sleeping.

Everyone keeps warning me: You're going to create dependence. She'll never sleep on her own. You're making a rod for your own back. And I kept thinking—am I? By letting her sleep next to me, am I setting her up to be clingy? Insecure? Unable to be alone?

So I kept scrolling.

I found research out of Notre Dame—Dr. James McKenna's Mother-Baby Behavioral Sleep Laboratory. They've been studying co-sleeping mothers and babies for decades. And what they found is the exact opposite of what I'd been warned about.

Babies who sleep close to their mothers—within sensory range, where they can hear breathing, feel warmth, smell milk—don't become more dependent. They become more secure.

Because when a baby wakes up and someone is there, when she cries and someone responds, her nervous system learns: I am safe. The world is safe. I can trust that my needs will be met.

And babies with that kind of secure attachment? They're the ones who eventually crawl the furthest from the house. They explore more. They take bigger risks. They wander farther into the world with more confidence, not less.

Because they know they can always come back.

I looked down at Summer asleep on my chest. Her little hand curled against my collarbone. Her breath steady and warm.

Security doesn't create dependence. It creates courage.

People ask me—sometimes kindly, sometimes not—why women need a community to learn crypto. Or AI. Or DeFi. YouTube exists. Google exists. ChatGPT exists. The information is literally free.

Why can't they just figure it out on their own?

For a long time, I answered that question by talking about education. We have a curriculum, we have guided learning. All of which is true. But none of which is the real answer.

We're afraid of saying I want this out loud and then not achieving it. We're afraid of being seen trying and failing.

The world around us reinforces that fear constantly. There's a whole ecosystem of salty, stuck humans who need you to fail in order to justify why they never started. People who attack what you're building because it reminds them of what they didn't build. People who will absolutely, 100% egg your face. People who relish seeing you fail.

• Zora launched "Attention Markets" on Solana—letting users bet on which social media trends go viral. Zora's been tied to Base but launched this new product on Solana to tap high-speed, low-cost infrastructure. Users can go long or short on memes, topics, or moments gaining traction.

• BlackRock started buying ETH for its staked Ethereum ETF. Purchased 4,000 seed shares for $100,000 to launch the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ETHB). Will stake 70-95% of holdings for ~3% annual yield, taking 18% cut of staking rewards split with Coinbase.

• Coinbase launched Agentic Wallets—the first wallet infrastructure built specifically for autonomous AI agents. AI agents can now manage funds, hold identity, and transact onchain without human intervention using Base, with spending limits and permissions users control.

AI

• Apple accelerated development on three AI wearables: smart glasses (Ray-Ban Meta competitor), an AirTag-sized pin with cameras, and AI-powered AirPods. All three run on upgraded Siri and use cameras so AI can "see" your surroundings. Targeting 2027 launch—Apple joining the race against OpenAI's Jony Ive device and Meta's glasses.

• Figma partnered with Anthropic to launch "Code to Canvas"—converts Claude Code-generated interfaces into fully editable Figma designs. Teams can now import AI-built UIs directly into Figma's canvas to refine, compare variations, and align on design decisions. Tired: code or canvas. Wired: code AND canvas.

• Stripe launched x402 payments on Base, letting developers charge AI agents directly using USDC. AI agents can now pay for services themselves without human intervention—part of the x402 protocol ecosystem with Coinbase + Cloudflare building it as a universal standard.

✨ SheFi Takeaway: Wall Street's buying protocol tokens, not just investing in crypto companies. AI agents are getting wallets, payment rails, and design tools. Code's becoming canvas, attention's becoming tradeable, and institutions are staking onchain. The infrastructure for autonomous agents to transact, create, and earn is live—not coming, live.
