On April 16, 2020, in the throes of a global pandemic, I hit send on a blog post that would change my life forever.

“Hello World, Meet SheFi.”

As a society, we had no idea what was coming next. But I saw governments scrambling around me as entire systems collapsed. People were losing their jobs left and right. In a time of massive insecurity and unpredictability, I wanted to let women know they had options.

One of those options was DeFi.

And now, SheFi.

I felt a deep knowing that crypto wasn’t meant to just be for my education and empowerment, but meant to be shared with everyone. It can’t be gatekept.

Most importantly, every woman deserves financial sovereignty.

So I got to work.

I spent hours making slide decks and screen-recording demos on MakerDAO, Aave, Uniswap, MetaMask, and Ethereum – while Love is Blind played in the background. That summer, I launched “A Date with SheFi,” a series of virtual events with 20 women who were brand new to Web3. That first cohort showed up with curiosity, courage, and trust. I’ll never forget it.

And from there… SheFi grew.

Today, it feels surreal to say:

⚡ Nearly 10,000 members
🌍 100+ countries
🚀 51 Chapter Leads
🎓 13 cohorts (with #14 on the way!)
🎤 Global summits with hundreds of attendees
📚 Education that’s expanded into NFTs, DAOs, consumer crypto, scaling, and AI

I didn’t know what it meant to be a bootstrapped founder when I started this. I didn’t know how to build a company, let alone a global community.

I just knew I had to start.

And I knew that women deserved a space to learn, to ask questions, and to take charge of their financial futures.

That belief has carried me, and SheFi, through five wild, unpredictable, transformational years.

The world has changed so much since 2020. Crypto has soared and crashed and soared again. AI has emerged as a new frontier. Markets have been volatile, policies have shifted, and the headlines rarely make sense.

But in the face of all that, SheFi has continued to grow. Because our mission is clear:

Every woman on the planet deserves financial sovereignty.

Even if it’s just $2, $5, or $50 – she deserves a wallet that’s truly hers.

A bank account no one can freeze. A stake in the systems of tomorrow.

I’m so proud of what we’ve built.

But more than that, I’m proud of you – our community. Every woman who joined a cohort, attended a summit, tuned into a SheFi class, or clicked “follow” or “subscribe.” You are the reason this has worked.

You are the movement.

And while I don’t know exactly what’s next, because as we learned in 2020, the future is always unpredictable, I do know this:

It’s going to be good.

Because we’re building it together.

Thank you to every single person who has been part of this journey: SheFi team members past and present, advisors, speakers, sponsors, community leads, cheerleaders, and friends. You make this 10,000x more meaningful.
