Inaugural SheFi Summit Recap

Bonjour from the SheFi Summit!

Last Sunday, over 300 leaders, builders, investors and community members came together in Paris for the inaugural SheFi Summit. It was a an unforgettable day of elevated talks, panels, workshops and networking opportunities. In fact, the SheFi Summit was not a side event but a main event, and everyone at ETHCC is still talking about it!

Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in the dynamic, collaborative environment we created together. Even a few days after, the SheFi Summit team is still buzzing from the powerful insights, incredible passion and positive energy that shared during the event.

The best part? We’re just beginning, and we can’t wait to bring a SheFi Summit to a city near you! Until then, we’ll share the event with you through pictures, videos of talks and write ups. Let's revisit some of the highlights of this groundbreaking event.

We started the day with investor insights on what the future of Web3 might look like and a keynote from Meltem Demirors, Head of Strategy at CoinShares, who not only convinced us that the future is wild but also that investing in atoms (physical) is as important as investing in bits (digital). She also gave an empowering message about being a mother by bringing her son.

Then we heard from Irene Wu, Head of Strategy at Layer Zero share her expertise about the Omnichain future and from Shailee Adilnofi of XMTP about how we can use Web3 messaging via Coinbase Wallet and Lens. Move over telegram, it’s time to network the Web3 way! Networking and building authentic, deep connections was a critical part of the day so we focused on allowing participants to have plenty of time to connect with one another over a catered lunch.

The afternoon consisted of hearing about why privacy matters from Viv Ford of Aleo and poignant messages on the power community building from Simona Pop, Erica Kang, Ria Riaz and Adam Wozney. We got together with our fren at Lens, Christina Beltramini, to discuss on owning your social data, the power of building fans over audiences and the tools enabled by Web3 social for a creator-driven economy.

We wrapped up the day with spicy takes from MetaMask Wallet and Capsule, negotiation workshop by Raffi Sapire, Head of Growth at Uniswap Foundation, and three incredible panels spanning the topics of DeFi in 2023 and Beyond, Real Talk for Founders and Being a Founder, What Like It’s Hard?

The SheFi Summit was not just about listening and learning but also engaging with the programming and each other. We collaborated with, Lens, ensō and tokenproof to reward our participants for coming to the event and talks. All of the attendees of the Lens talk received an exclusive Lens x SheFi piece of swag and everyone at the Summit received a Lens handle. For every talk, attendees could collect a POAP, which resulted in different rewards. At the SheFi Summit, 626 POAPs minted by 172 unique addresses. Our rewards program is outlined below:
