My Greatest Sin.

I dedicate a lot of my non-SheFi time to self-discovery and development. I’ve probably taken 99% of the personality tests out there – I just can’t resist them!

I know my Myers-Briggs is ENFP and my big three in Astrology are: Leo Sun, Leo Moon and Libra Rising. These frameworks have provided me with fascinating insights into my personality.

However, when it comes to practical application in my life, especially as a founder, one framework stands out among the rest: the Enneagram.

The first time I read my Enneagram 7 profile in The Wisdom of the Enneagram, it hit a little too close to home. It felt like holding up a mirror to my soul, revealing not just the surface-level traits but the deeper currents that drive my core behaviors.

The Enneagram 7 is known as “The Optimist or The Enthusiast.”

Sevens are:

• Innovative (I think so)

• Adventurous (absolutely)

• Avoidant of pain (eek!)

• Busy as a coping mechanism (hahahahahahaha)

My exploration into the Enneagram has illuminated my propensity for embracing multiple projects and eagerly saying "yes" to new ventures—a trait that has always been at the heart of my entrepreneurial spirit. It has propelled me to explore and innovate with an unbridled passion.

However, the Enneagram’s enthusiastic approach has its drawbacks, particularly in terms of focus and workload management, as highlighted in my "Just Say No" newsletter. According to the Enneagram, the Seven’s deadly or greatest sin is gluttony. My tendency to embrace too much can lead to a scattered focus, undermining the deep, concentrated effort required for true innovation and growth within SheFi.

Recognizing the importance of channeling my energy toward a singular focus has been a pivotal realization. For a Type 7 like me, real growth comes from aligning my efforts with my authentic strengths and dedicating myself to the mission of SheFi and how I serve SheFi in the best way.

Exploring the Enneagram has led to significant changes in how I operate, including delegating more responsibilities, such as hiring for new roles, including a community manager, Shelby, and in the near future a COO (if you know great operators, let me know!).

The journey of embracing my Enneagram-driven insights has not only transformed my approach to leadership but also reaffirmed my commitment to nurturing SheFi to its fullest potential.
