SheFi Launches Squad Staking!

Squad Up and Stake With SheFi! #SquadGoals

Get ready to squad up, stake together and secure Ethereum with SheFi.

I’m thrilled to announce that SheFi is partnering with Obol Labs to bring squad staking and at-home node running to the global SheFi community! Squad staking is a tangible way for our community to empower each other, learn about Proof-of-Stake blockchains, and actively participate in decentralizing the Ethereum network while earning rewards. It’s time to team up, level up, and stake up with SheFi Squads. Squad staking is exclusively for SheFi members and part of our Season 9 curriculum.

Why is this exciting? 

Typically, solo staking is limited to people who have 32 ETH and the technical expertise to run a physical node at home or rent one in a cloud provider like AWS. With the SheFi x Obol Labs partnership, SheFi members can run nodes at home and stake as squads because of Obol Distributed Validators (DVs). DVs allows an Ethereum Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validator to be run on more than one node, enabling a cluster of nodes operated by an individual, group, or community to act together as a single validator on the Ethereum network.

Squad staking is a fun and collaborative way to participate in the Ethereum Network and earn rewards. By leveraging Obol DVs, we can let more people participate in validating on Ethereum by lowering the ETH requirements for any individual who wants to run a node, as multiple nodes can collectively make up the requisite 32 ETH for validation, and allowing solo stakers to run highly effective validators at-home (if your machine goes down, your squad now has your back). Will dive deep into this during our classes.

How SheFi Squad Staking Will Work:

• Learn Together: Participate in Season 9 classes and get resources to learn how to set up and run nodes, form squads, and participate.

• Join a Squad: Connect with other SheFi members and form a squad.

• Stake Together: Once your squad is formed, it's time to start staking together as a single validator on the Ethereum network.

Squad staking plus node running is an incredible opportunity to learn, earn, and support your fellow SheFi members while actively contributing to a more decentralized future.

Quests with Uniswap x SheFi!

Uniswap is minting an NFT for #ScalingSummer and minted on Zora on the Optimism blockchain. All creator fees will be donated to SheFi! Complete the Optimism quest by Tuesday, Sept. 5th at 12am UTC to get on the allowlist for the NFT mint. You have to first download Uniswap mobile wallet and then use it to swap on Optimism’s mainnet.

• Open the quest in a mobile browser from this tweet

• Connect a wallet like Rainbow to Layer 3 to sign in

• Click start quest

• Download Uniswap mobile and set it up

• Fund your Uniswap mobile wallet

  • I sent a tiny bit of ETH from my Rainbow wallet to Uniswap wallet

• Completed!

  • You have to hit the verify button in the bottom right after each step

• Next you will have to complete another quest to bridge tokens from Ethereum mainnet to Optimism mainnet in your mobile wallet.
