Supporting Innocent Civilians in Israel and Palestine with Crypto

How you can donate crypto to support civilians and peacekeeping efforts

In collaboration with Endaoment, Givepact, and the crypto community, we’ve compiled a list of non-profit organizations that you can donate to with crypto that will help innocent civilians in Israel and Palestine as well as peacekeeping efforts.

Thank you to Endaoment and Givepact for your ongoing commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts worldwide with crypto and sharing your expertise on organizations we can support through crypto giving for the Israel-Palestine war. The organizations below and the statements are directly pulled from an article that Alicia Maule, CEO of Givepact wrote and we linked above. It is not a comprehensive list, and by exploring the Givepact site, you may find ones not listed here that you’d prefer to donate to:

  1. UNRWA USA National Committee: UNRWA is sheltering 73,538 internally displaced people (IDPs) in 64 of its schools in all areas in the Gaza Strip. Of those, 45 are Designated Emergency Shelters (DES) and 19 are not. An UNRWA school sheltering displaced families in the Gaza Strip was directly hit. The school sheltering more than 225 people was severely damaged. No casualties were recorded among the displaced but the school sustained significant structural damage.

  2. Doctors Without Borders: Since our founding in 1971 MSF has helped tens of millions of people, and grown from a group of 13 doctors and journalists to an international movement of more than 45,000.

  3. International Rescue Committee: "focused on the humanitarian needs of civilians in the coming days.” The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises—including the climate crisis—to survive, recover and rebuild their lives.

  4. Save the Children: Over 100 years ago, our founder said, “Save the Children is often told that its aims are impossible – that there has always been child suffering and there always will be. We know it’s impossible only if we make it so. It’s impossible only if we refuse to attempt it.” Through the decades, Save the Children has continued to work to save children’s lives, and that’s still what we do today. By supporting Save the Children, you're helping save children’s lives, too.

  5. UNICEF USA: With hundreds of civilians reportedly killed or injured, we are closely monitoring the situation for reports of grave rights violations committed against children.”

  6. International Committee of the Red Cross: “Healthcare workers and health facilities must be protected to ensure people needing help can receive treatment. The dead must also be treated with dignity. In our role as a neutral intermediary, we are ready to visit anyone detained so we can check on their well-being and provide news to their loved ones.”

  7. Oxfam America: “Oxfam is closely monitoring the humanitarian situation alongside our local partners and international organizations. We are also currently assessing the safety and well-being of civilians, Oxfam personnel and partners, especially in areas lacking adequate shelters and protection."

  8. The New Israel Fund: The emergency fund plans to tackle the following areas: Basic care for the most vulnerable groups, combating violent speech and incitement online, preventing inter-communal violence in mixed cities, and mental health and trauma counseling.

  9. The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee: The emergency fund plans to tackle the following areas: Basic care for the most vulnerable groups, combating violent speech and incitement online, preventing inter-communal violence in mixed cities, and mental health and trauma counseling.

  10. Islamic Relief USA: “Islamic Relief is working to prepare an emergency response to provide aid to affected families.”

  11. The Carter Center: An organization with a long history of promoting peace in Israel and Palestine through election observation, conflict resolution, and human rights initiatives. They have established strong relationships among key leaders and organizations in the region.

  12. Seeds of Peace: “Seeds of Peace has over two decades of experience organizing and implementing dialogue and leadership development programs for youth and educators in communities in conflict across the globe.”

  13. Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP): “We are in close touch with our members, allies and colleagues, and are providing support where we can to our community of peacebuilders in this awful moment.”

  14. Israeli-Palestinian Bereaved Parents Circle: “A joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 600 families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict.”

  15. Tomorrow’s Youth Organization: “Our mission is to support refugees and marginalized communities toward building resilience and mental well-being amidst conflict.”

Here are some organizations on Endaoment that you can find by searching their website. This is a list that their team helped us compile from their work with non-profits. It is not a comprehensive list, and by exploring their site, you may find ones not listed here that you’d prefer to donate to:

  1. IsraAid: Our mission is to support people affected by humanitarian crisis. We partner with local communities around the world to provide urgent aid, assist in recovery, and reduce the risk of future disasters.

  2. Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR): BASR is a national development NGO functioning as a resource center, empowering people with disabilities, offering them pioneer health and rehabilitation services and provide the Palestinian community with professional specialized medical services from a human rights and inclusive development perspectives.

  3. American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera): Since 1968, Anera has helped refugees and others hurt by conflicts in the Middle East live with dignity and purpose. Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most. That’s how Anera delivered 98.3 million in programs in 2020 alone, and it’s how we will keep building better lives until hope finds its way in the Middle East.

  4. American Friends of Magen David Adom: MDA is Israel's national emergency response, blood services, and disaster relief organization. It is not a government agency, though it is the only organization appointed by the Government to serve in this role. MDA's 30,000 paramedics and EMTs, and volunteers are always there for all Israelis. They respond to typical emergencies and incidences of greater magnitude with 2,000 vehicles on call around the clock, based at 198 EMS stations nationwide. MDA Blood Service collects and processes 97% of the blood supply distributed to Israeli hospitals and the entirety needed by the Israel Defense Forces. Emergency preparedness training equips them to respond to mass casualty events and provide humanitarian aid at home and abroad. American Friends of MDA raises funds to support this vital work.

  5. International Rescue Committee: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises—including the climate crisis—to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Founded at the call of Albert Einstein in 1933, the IRC is now at work in over 40 crisis-affected countries as well as communities throughout Europe and the Americas. We deliver lasting impact by providing health care, helping children learn, and empowering individuals and communities to become self-reliant, always seeking to address the inequalities facing women and girls.

  6. Middle East Children’s Alliance: The Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) works to protect the rights and improve the lives of children in the Middle East through aid, empowerment and education. In the Middle East, MECA provides humanitarian aid, partners with community organizations to run projects for children, and supports income-generation projects. In the US and internationally, MECA raises awareness about the lives of children in the region and encourages meaningful action.

  7. Sawa Together Today and Tomorrow: Sawa is a leading Palestinian organization dedicated to providing support, protection and social counseling for survivors of violence. Sawa aims at spreading a culture of non-violence and gender equality in Palestinian society through confidentially helping, counseling and supporting violence victims. We and our community partners stand for an enhanced social wellbeing, based on values of humanity and gender equality, through a set of differentiated services to combat all types of violence, abuse and neglect practiced against women and children.

  8. AMERICAN FRIENDS OF SOROKA MEDICAL CENTER INC.: Soroka, one of Israel’s largest and most strategic hospitals is the sole Major Medical Center for the entire Negev, an area that comprises 60% of Israel’s land, with a population of 1 million, including 400,000 children. Through the delivery of urgently needed medical care to the vast and diverse society in the Negev region, regardless of race, religion or politics, Soroka makes a unique contribution to the building of a future of security and peaceful coexistence for Israel. Throughout Operation Protective Edge, Soroka has treated over 1,100 wounded IDF soldiers and civilians. This healthcare institution is truly an Israeli national treasure.

  9. Save the Children Federation, Inc. Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the United States and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.

  10. American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee: JDC — the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee or “The Joint” — is the leading Jewish humanitarian organization, working in 70 countries to lift lives and strengthen communities. We rescue Jews in danger, provide aid to vulnerable Jews, develop innovative solutions to Israel’s most complex social challenges, cultivate a Jewish future, and lead the Jewish community’s response to crises. For over 100 years, our work has put the timeless Jewish value of mutual responsibility into action, making JDC essential to the survival of millions of people and the advancement of Jewish life across the globe.
